Ingesting Datasets#

Ingest data into a dataset repository only after checking its license, provenance, and privacy obligations. Preserve source metadata and document the processing steps that changed the original material.

Before upload, validate the schema and split layout locally. Publish a new revision for an ingestion change, describe the difference in the card, and tag the revision used by an experiment. See Uploading Datasets.
